It's been a number of years since Reading had a dedicated comic shop. Given our 30-year love affair with comics, we decided to live the dream and open a shop to meet the needs of Reading's comic-collecting community. Crunch Comics opened our doors in January 2017.
Our aim is to be your friendly neighbourhood comic shop. Crunch Comics stocks the latest new release comics from the major publishers: Marvel, DC, Image, Dark Horse, IDW, Boom, Aftershock and Valiant plus we have a range of collectibles, graphic novels and our extensive selection of back issue comics. We're happy to order any items that we don't stock. We do our best to get to know our customers so that we can suggest new titles or other releases that may published.
We alsp set up "pull lists" for customers who don't want to miss their favourite comics each week.
We host a monthly informal get-together to chat about comic-related topics. We meet up at various locations in Reading and everyone's welcome to join us!
Our wonderful customers nominated us for Reading's Favourite Shop in the 2017 Reading Retail Awards and we were delighted that the judges selected us for this incredible accolade in our first year of trading !
