Glasgow Bike Station (GBS) is a Glasgow based charity that encourages and promotes good mental and physical health through cycling as a means of transport; aims to advance the education of the public in the safe use of bicycles and their repair; and to protect and preserve the environment for the public benefit by promoting cycling as a means of transport. The organisation teaches cycle training, bike maintenance and cycle safety to the communities. GBS refurbishes donated bicycles and sell them at affordable price to the communities with 3 month warranty, GBS also sells second hand parts, and accessories. There are others service such as FYOB (Fix Your Own Bike) workshops where users can use the workshop and tools and advice from accredited mechanics to fix their bikes for only £4 an hour; and Dr Bike where a mobile mechanic services bikes at your workplace or community event.
