We are a small, independent company that specialises in quality alcoholic drinks. Both our shops stock more than 5,000 products, carefully selected from an even wider range, and proudly house one of the widest ranges of craft ale in the UK.
Our medieval ale house, located on Stonegate, near the York Minster, is one of York's most famous pubs. Its Madness sister, a Craft Beer Mansion, located on Lendal by the Museum Gardens, boasts an even wider selection of guest ales on tap, and is already on the road to becoming part of the legacy and "institution" people lovingly refer to as "The Madness".
