Raleigh unveils clothing distribution strategy for 2014

Posted on in Brands & Products News, Cycles News

Raleigh UK has unveiled its clothing strategy for 2014, a move which sees a big expansion in the company's ties with UK brand Lusso and with house-brand XLC.

Raleigh will be concentrating its efforts on three brands, Lusso, XLC and Moa clothing in 2014, with an in-house casual line in progress for future seasons.

After taking on distribution of the brand in early 2013 and enjoying a highly successful summer sales campaign, Raleigh has expanded its line up of Lusso's excellent quality, British-made performance clothing, which is designed specifically for the British weather and the British bike rider.

In 2014 Raleigh will be distributing Lusso's range of men's and women's performance cycle clothing, designed for both the performance and enthusiast markets.

Raleigh Operations Director Jane Tomkinson said: "Feedback we received in 2013 has steered us towards expanding our range of Lusso clothing as it's a well-known, high-quality brand that consumers trust.

"The quality of the British-made clothing is highly competitive against other brands and the price offers almost unrivalled value, which we feel gives the brand a unique selling point."

Well-known Accell Group brand XLC joined Raleigh's stable in 2013 and its positive take up in the UK gives Raleigh the confidence to introduce more clothing lines to the UK market.

As well as producing a comprehensive range of components and accessories, XLC's core essentials clothing range is intended for every day use for novice and professional cyclists alike.

Raleigh will distribute the majority of the European XLC range, including road shoes and MTB shoes.

"Through its well-respected brand name XLC allowed Raleigh to reach out to more cycle dealers in 2013 and we're now in a position where we can bring in additional lines to complement the wide range we already stock," said Tomkinson.

Premium Italian clothing brand MOA is distributed exclusively by Raleigh and its bespoke offering provides custom Team or Club kits and replica kit for some of the top professional cycling teams.

As showcased by Team Raleigh, MOA cycle kit is designed for the performance bike rider in the most challenging conditions.

Custom kit comes inclusive of kit design and offers high performance fabrics and technical design to suit performance and enthusiastic riders.

Cycle dealers stocking Raleigh road bikes are eligible for price support on team kit. Dealers are encouraged to speak to their Raleigh sales representatives for further detail.

Orders can be placed for Lusso, XLC or Moa clothing via Raleigh's parts and accessories sales force or via Raleigh's B2B site www.raleighb2b.co.uk
