Winners of the Local Bike Shop Day voting competition announced!

Posted on in Business News, Cycles News, Polls & Results

For 2022 Local Bike Shop Day introduced an entirely new voting function, allowing customers to show their appreciation and loyalty for their favourite bike shop by being able to vote for them on the Local Bike Shop Day website.

To make it a little bit more interesting, Freewheel got on board and offered customers and bike shops the opportunity to win £200 worth of vouchers each!

Bike shops needed to encourage their customers to vote for them by spreading their shop's listing far and wide, the shop with the most votes won £200 worth of vouchers for Freewheel! Any customers that voted were also entered into a prize where they too will be given the chance to win £200 of Freewheel vouchers.

That's why Freeweheel are proud to support independent bike shops with every purchase made online. Freewheel aims to give them an online presence and a chance to reach new customers. Buying cycling products from Freewheel means you can support local bikes shop too.

The winning shop that attained the most votes is...

Cykel House with a whopping 350 votes!

The customer winner, chosen at random, is...

Lorraine Slater

Gavin, Director at Cykel House, said:

“We’re so proud and humbled to have won the Local Bike Shop Day competition. We’re a fairly young store at only 2 years old so it’s fantastic to have such support from our customers. We try to be different to other bike shops with our innovative displays, coffee shop and the products we offer to really give our customers a great experience. We pride ourselves on good, honest customer service and it’s great to see this is reflected in our votes. With such a great response from our social media, Local Bike Shop Day has helped us reach an even wider audience.”
